The Action Theatre isn’t just your average Stage School. It is a big, crazy, creative family full of supportive teachers and happy students.

The Action Theatre Club was established over 8 years ago when Principle, Lizzie Crawford, found that there was a need for a new style of Stage School. One which offered the highest standard of dance, drama and singing lessons yet at affordable prices and with flexibility on the disciplines taken.

Since then the Club has grown. We now offer over 30 classes a week and have around 200 students. Although we have increased in size we have still maintained our dedication to ensuring that all students are treated as individuals and spend a huge amount of time making sure that everyone is happy, confident and challenged. We are driven by our absolutely passion for helping children to develop. We are not a greedy company who are all about money - we work because we love what we do and want to help children to grow in a positive way.

Our company is made up of a partnership of teachers, principles and assistants, who all work together to teach the children. Each term we meet to discuss each and every child. We plan how to help everyone achieve and blossom. From shy children who need to build in confidence, to the next West End star - we really do pride ourselves on being able to help everyone to be challenged - yet we never have just one ‘star’ of the show. The material is always tailor written so that EVERYONE has equal parts - yet different levels of difficulty (with characters, dynamics, etc). This way every single child feels valued but is also free of stress.

Although our lessons are 100% practical, we do work on subjects taught at school - singing (music), dance and drama. We are always studying the latest school curriculums so that our classes can support school studies and enhance the child’s learning and ultimately, their grades at school.

As well as our weekly classes in singing, dancing and acting we also offer holiday workshops,  parties and private lessons. Our holidays workshops are a brilliant way for children to make friends, have fun and develop their stage skills, which of course, are transferable into every day life.

Child safety is of the utmost importance to us. We would like to reassure you that all of our teachers have enhanced DBS checked, and have under taken child protection training. We also have a number of licensed chaperones and first aid trained teachers.

We care about each and every child that attends our class. We want to help the children to develop their skills, build confidence and have fun. We want to create memories that will last a lifetime. We make sure that we try our best to build confidence, encourage children’s social skills and help them to express themselves.
